The RCH team has professional experience at managerial levels of leading five star hotel chains such as The Oberoi Group, Starwood Hotels, Serena Group of Hotels (Africa and Central Asia), Mandarin Oriental Group (Ananda in the Himalayas).


Shariq Wajid, 37

Shariq Wajid has over fifteen years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. After graduating in 1997 from Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Lucknow, he started his career with the Taj Group of Hotels in Jaipur.

After a short stint with the Taj Group he moved to the Oberoi Group of Hotels and was posted at The Trident, Jaipur as part of the Opening Team. His seven year association with The Oberoi Group took him to The Trident, Cochin where he was instrumental in setting up the Front Office operations of the hotel. His next posting with the Oberoi Group was at The Oberoi, New Delhi where he underwent an extensive professional development program for two years. The next two years saw him on assignment at The Oberoi, Bangalore managing the Front Office Operations.

In the year 2004, he left the Oberoi Group to take up a challenging assignment with The Serena Group of Hotels for their upcoming Five-Star Deluxe Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan.

His association with Serena Group gave him vast exposure to all aspects of Hotel Project Development including Design & Construction, Logistics, Project implementation, Operations Management, Training & Development. With a rich & diverse experience in different hospitality segments, Shariq founded Red Carpet Hospitality, a Hotel Consulting firm based in Bangalore, India, in 2005.

Pradeep Joshi, 37

Pradeep Joshi has over fifteen years of experience in the Hospitality & Administration. After graduating in 1997 from Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Lucknow, he started his career with the Oberoi Group of Hotels with The Trident, Agra.

After completing the initial year, he moved on to join Pizza Hut, Agra one of the largest restaurant chain in India. Part of the Management Trainee program, he was imparted a comprehensive training in all aspects of Restaurant management. In the year 2000, his next assignment was with Le Meridien, Pune the first 5 star deluxe hotel in Pune, where he joined in the Food & Beverage Service and went on to work for 7 ½ years. He gained valuable operational experience in all the outlets of Food & Beverage.

In the year 2007, he left Le Meridien and took up a challenging assignment with Hutchison 3 Global Services a subsidiary of 3 Mobile UK. He was part of the opening team of the Administration Department and was instrumental in successfully setting up the facility for 2500+ persons. He was involved in Project implementation, Operations management, Vendor sourcing & management, Material sourcing & management, Event Management, Dining Services 24X7, Housekeeping services.

Finally, in year 2009 he moved to MeadWestvaco India, headquartered in Richmond, US. There, he was Administrative in charge for the India operations of MeadWestvaco located in Pune. Additionally he was also assisting the Human Resource department for the company’s operations in India. In 2010, he moved to Bangalore to join Red Carpet Hospitality
